I'm watching a lot of movies lately and I thought I'd elect a few for you guys as a movie tip.
I love discovering new movies and I was happy to be surprised by some recently. And it's often hard to pick a new movie to watch. Even though I have a lot of DVDs. Having a lot of DVDs is like having a lot of clothes. You can look at your closet and think: I have nothing to wear. I can look at all my DVDs and think: I've got nothing to watch. Making choices is hard! I get that. I sometimes feel like it's hard to choose. So I'll help you a bit! Lets take a look at my movie tips for you!
Movie tip 1: What Ever Happened to Baby Jane?
This movie is definitely my favorite of the ones I've seen recently.
Somehow I wouldn't have picked this one as a new favorite. But since I'm watching a lot of movies at home now, I'm trying to vary a lot and discover new things. And I'm glad I did. Love this movie! And I'm a huge Bette Davis fan now. I've also already some other movies she stars in.
Back to the movie! What Ever Happened to Baby Jane (1962) is a movie about Baby Jane, a former child star. She loved the attention and the success. But somewhere along the way, her sister Blanche got more successful. More popular. And that's hard for Baby Jane. But then, there's a car accident. This leaves Blanche in a wheelchair. years later, Baby Jane and Blanche live together and Blanche is completely dependent of Baby Jane. Only Baby Jane, can't put away her jealousy and sabotages Blanche in every way she can.
Movie tip 2: A League of Their Own
"There's no crying in Baseball!", a well known quote from this awesome baseball movie: A League of Their Own. I have watched this movie multiple times already. I can't get enough! I re watched it recently because Liv & I met Lori Petty at Comic Con Liverpool.
A League of Their Own shows the first female professional baseball league. It has a great cast with for example Tom Hanks, Geena Davis, Lori Petty and Madonna. Sisters Kit (Lori Petty) and Dotty (Geena Davis) join the first female professional baseball league together. Their coach is Jimmy (Tom Hanks) who really doesn't feel like training this team. The movie follows the struggles of the team to succeed.
It's really a movie that never bores me!
Movie trip 3: The Room
Okay, I know this movie is also known as the worst movie ever made. But still, I had a lot of fun watching it! And I can tell you: if you watch this movie, you'll not forget it! You'll keep saying "You're tearing me apart, LIsa." and "Oh, hi Mark!"
At Comic Con Los Angeles, Liv & I met Tomy Wiseau. He had a booth a comic con and I decided to buy the movie the Room (I had never seen it before). So I bought the movie and got it signed. I was just so curious to see thi movie! So I watched it, knowing that some people call it the worst movie. And with that in mind, I had so much fun watching this movie hahaha. Just have a look at it yourself and let me know your thoughts ;).
