Chucky is back! I'm so happy! I am a HUGE Chucky fan. I loved the child's play movies since the very first time I saw that Chucky doll. Have you seen the movies? What are your thoughts? I watched the first movie years ago. I thought it was great. My kind of horror movie. For the people who are not familiar with Child's play at all: A mother gives her son a Good Guy doll for Christmas. A Good Guy doll is a very popular toy. Every child wants one! This doll is named Chucky. And I love the line the doll says: "Hi, I'm Chucky. And I'm your friend til the end." But: This particular doll isn't as innocent as it looks. The doll is possessed by the soul of a serial killer!
After Child's Play, many more movies followed: Child's Play 2, Child's Play 3, Bride of Chucky, Seed of Chucky, Curse of Chucky. And now also: Cult of Chucky! Okay, I'll admit: Even though I'm a big fan of the Chucky movies I don't think all movies are great. I was really disappointed by Seed of Chucky (Chucky's kid looked terrible!). And I didn't really like Curse of Chucky either (not really exciting).
At Weekend of Hell in 2015, Fiona Dourif already told that there would be another Chucky movie. And she also plays a role in it. Fiona Dourif is the daughter of Brad Dourif. He plays Charles Lee Ray and is therefore also the voice of Chucky. I am very happy that there will be another movie. And I will definitely watch it in the cinema. The trailer doesn't show a lot about the story. But it looks nice. Even though I still like it the best how Chucky looked in the first movies. You can check out the trailer below.
